Tottenham Hotspur star Harry Kane has, on Sunday evening, etched his name ever further into the history books of English football.
Spurs, and Kane, are of course currently locked in action.
In their final outing of what has proven an altogether underwhelming campaign, Ryan Mason’s troops have made the trip to Elland Road, for a meeting with relegation-battling Leeds United.
And, as things stand, it is that man Kane who has made the difference on the scoresheet.
Inside the two-minute mark in west Yorkshire, the England international latched onto attacking partner in crime Son Heung-min’s delivery, to sweep beyond Illan Meslier.

And, as alluded to above, in the process, Kane made history.
26 – @HKane has scored in 26 different Premier League games this season, the joint-most games any player has scored in within a single campaign in the competition, along with Andrew Cole in 1993-94. Ceaseless. pic.twitter.com/ChZpnRS5ww

Not only that, but Kane has also taken his career tally on the Premier League’s final day to ten goals, more than any other player in the competition’s history:
10 – Harry Kane has now scored 10 goals on the final day of the season in the Premier League, the most of any player:
10 – Harry Kane
9 – Andrew Cole
9 – Les Ferdinand
8 – Matt Le TissierCurtains. https://t.co/xqyrYVoptJ
