Harry Kane ‘open’ to free agent Tottenham exit

A fresh insight into the future of Tottenham Hotspur talisman Harry Kane has come to the fore late on Friday evening.
The name of hitman Kane, of course, has taken its place back front and centre in the English media headlines across the week to date.
This comes amid fresh speculation over his long-term future in north London.
After the extent of Spurs’ woes was laid bare once more by way of a harrowing five-goal drubbing at the hands of Newcastle United, both the Lilywhites faithul, and rival fans alike, swiftly called into question whether Kane may finally call time on his stint in England’s capital this summer.
Now 29, the prolific attacker is inching towards the end of the prime years of his career, but still yet to clinch a single major trophy.
With Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United continuing to sniff around Kane’s signature, could he therefore be on the move in the near future?
And the news will no doubt come as a major source of concern for those of a Tottenham persuasion.
As per a report from the reliable Mike McGrath of The Telegraph, ‘Harry Kane would be open to running his contract down at Spurs.’
Kane’s current terms are due to expire in the summer of 2024.
And it would appear that the England international is already giving serious consideration to not penning a new deal, to instead seek out a free agent exit in 12 months’ time.
