The Portuguese has had a mixed spell with his parent club, Atletico Madrid, in recent years, and was hopeful a loan move would revive his career.
Felix made his debut for Chelsea back in January in a 2-1 loss to Fulham.
The forward had a bright start to the game and looked a shrewd signing by the Blues.
However, Felix was shown a straight red card after 58 minutes of the match and has missed Chelsea’s proceeding three Premier League matches.
He is now expected to return to the XI on Saturday as Chelsea face a trip to West Ham.
Ahead of the game, Graham Potter has been discussing Felix’s best position:
“[He’s] really good at finding space, whether that’s to feet or in behind, he can challenge the backline as well as he can receive in tight areas, so he’s got a unique set of skills.”
