Fulham & Wolves: Maurizio Sarri confirms Kepa Arrizabalaga will continue to be dropped

Chelsea 2 – Tottenham 0

Chelsea beat Tottenham 2-0 on Wednesday night in the Premier League.

The Blues bounced back to victory following their Carabao Cup final defeat to Man City last Sunday.

Pedro broke the deadlock in the 57th minute before Kieran Trippier scored a calamitous own goal to seal Chelsea’s win.

Chelsea remain in sixth in the league, while Tottenham are third.

Spurs are seven points clear of the Pensioners.

Kepa Arrizabalaga vs Willy Caballero

Kepa Arrizabalaga was dropped for the Tottenham match.

That’s after the goalie refused to be subbed at Wembley last weekend.

Willy Caballero was brought into the side in midweek, and the Argentine recorded a clean sheet.

Fulham & Wolves

Chelsea are back in Premier League action this weekend when they visit local rivals Fulham.

After that the Blues take on Dynamo Kyiv in the Europa League, before a home match against Wolves in the league on March 10.

Will Kepa return to the Chelsea side for those matches?

After Tottenham, manager Maurizio Sarri confirmed that Kepa will be back in the Chelsea side “in one of the next two games (but) maybe not the next one.”

Put another way, Kepa should be back in goal by the Wolves match.

However the keeper will continue to be punished by being dropped in upcoming matches.
