Fulham star rejects Newcastle & Man City interest to pen new long-term deal

A key member of the defensive setup at Premier League outfit Fulham has, on Friday, committed his long-term future to the club.

The player in question? Antonee Robinson.

For those who may have missed it, left-back Robinson has seen his name take its place centre stage in the media headlines over the course of the last couple of weeks.

This comes after the United States international was identified as a potential summer addition on the part of a number of high-profile clubs.

Fresh off a fine season at Craven Cottage, both Newcastle United and Olympique Marseille saw their attentions piqued, adding to prior interest on the part of Manchester City and AC Milan.

With just a year to run on his previous terms with the club, it therefore didn’t come as a huge surprise when ensuing word was forthcoming that the Fulham brass were giving serious consideration to Robinson’s sale.

As confirmed in an official statement across Fulham’s website and social media platforms:

‘The Club is delighted to announce that Antonee Robinson has signed a new long-term contract.

‘After helping Fulham to a 10th place finish in the Premier League with an incredibly consistent season at left-back, Robinson has now pledged his future to the Club by agreeing terms on a deal that runs until the summer of 2028.’
