Bielsa discussed a number of topics in the presser, including team news.

And the news proved far from positive for Leeds, with all of Kalvin Phillips, Liam Cooper, Stuart Dallas and Leo Hjelde expected to miss out this weekend:

“Dallas is recovering, he hasn’t been discarded from Sunday’s game. And Hjelde has an injury in his knee and if the process in the next three weeks is effective he would be available in that term but it could happen that he may not recover in those 20 days which would result in him having to have a surgery.”

Bielsa was also asked for an update on Patrick Bamford, but the forward remains out with the same issue: “No, he continues with the same problem.”

Leeds vs Manchester United

Leeds United head into Sunday’s game having experienced a dip in form that has seen them lose to Newcastle, draw with Aston Villa and lose to Everton.

Across said games, the Whites would concede a rather worrying seven goals, suggesting that their defence really needs to be tightened up this weekend.

However, Manchester United themselves are not the best at keeping clean sheets, so a goal-fest could be on the cards.

Should Leeds lose on Sunday, they are in danger of being sucked into the relegation battle.

The Whites currently sit 15th in the Premier League, but are only six points above 18th placed Norwich City.

As for Manchester United, they need a win to ensure that they are not knocked out of the top-four this weekend.
