FC Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ‘robbed & beaten’ in early hours of morning

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang was the victim on a break-in during the early hours of Monday morning, it has been reported in Spain.

According to Spanish outlet Marca citing El Pais, some hooded men entered the house of FC Barcelona footballer Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang this morning to rob him and attacked the footballer and some of his relatives.

It is added: “The robbery took place at the footballer’s home, in the municipality of Castelldefels around one in the morning, when the footballer and his relatives were at home. The assailants would have jumped through the garden and, once inside the house, they would have pointed weapons at the soccer player and they would have beaten him and threatened his wife.”

After having Aubameyang open his safe, it is understood the assailants left the home in a white Audi A3, according to witnesses. Authorities are still trying to identify the perpetrators and locate them.

Spanish outlet Cope also covered the story and report that Aubameyang and his family are fine:

Aubameyang moved to Barcelona from Arsenal in January of this year on a free transfer.

He has so far featured 24 times for the Catalonian powerhouse, scoring 13 goals in the process, but he was left on the bench on Sunday as Baca ran out 4-0 winners over Real Valladolid.
