Chelsea’s push for more honors on the continent resumed tonight in the Ruhr valley against German giants Borussia Dortmund at Signal Iduna Park, and if the first 45-minutes are anything to go by, many Blues supporters will be encouraged by evidence on the pitch provided by Graham Potter’s men as both sides went into the changing room locked in a 0-0 affair.

Despite Dortmund boasting the lion’s share of possession and more generated shots, Chelsea has managed to craft a higher xG and bigger chances on the night, particularly through Portuguese star João Félix, who has been at the center of it all for Potter’s troops across an impressive first-half outing.
But one player that has struggled to really show early influence in his young Chelsea career has been Ukrainian starlet Mykhailo Mudryk. Though his pace and athleticism have been evident as it so often is, the 21-year-old sparkplug has yet to settle under Potter and still looks off the boil on a tactical front, despite Ben Chilwell coming into the team tonight over Marc Cucurella.
How have Chelsea supporters reacted to his display thus far amid questions surrounding whether or not Potter is getting the best out of the Ukrainian international? See for yourself below.
Mudryk is an upgraded Supriaha. While he has space to run into, an opponent he can run away from, and a teammate to give him the ideal through ball, he’s the most dangerous player on the pitch. Take away any one of those components and he turns into just a dude who can run fast.

This system would look far better if it were a 4222 with Joao on the left and Mudryk up front

Maybe go to back 3 use the full backs as wingers and play 3-4-1-2 with João Felix 10 and Havertz, Mudryk as forwards.
