His current deal with the club runs until next summer and Spurs will be keen to change that.

Romano: “They are prepared to give him basically everything he wants”

Fabrizio Romano believes that during the World Cup is when Tottenham’s offer to Conte will arrive.

Spurs are ready to fully back him by giving him everything he wants to ensure he remains in north London.

No talks are expected to take place until the winter break with the Italian fully focused on the Premier League and Champions League.

“From what I am told, there is still no proposal on the table, so no direct negotiations yet between Conte and Tottenham.

“They know Antonio and Antonio is 100 percent focused on the Premier League and Champions League, he doesn’t want to enter contract talks now.

“There is this World Cup break that is the perfect opportunity to discuss this proposal.

“The official proposal I think will arrive in November or December.”
