Fabio Vieira garners comparisons to Arsenal icon after starring display against Bodø/Glimt

The Portuguese talent was in top form this evening

The latest performance put forth by Arsenal star Fabio Vieira on Thursday night has since given rise to widespread comparisons to a one-time club icon.

Mikel Arteta’s troops, of course, were back in action a short time ago.

After returning to action on the back of the international break with a bang, courtesy of a 3-1 downing of Tottenham in the North London Derby at the weekend, the Gunners turned their attentions towards the continent, in a Europa League meeting with Norwegian outfit Bodø/Glimt.

And, when all was said and done, Arsenal, once more, impressed.

The capital giants opened the scoring midway through the first-half, when Eddie Nketiah slotted home on the rebound, after Kieran Tierney’s thunderous strike cannoned off the post:

And, from here, it proved the Fabio Vieira show.

On the back of the action being brought to a close in the English capital, it should therefore come as little surprise to hear of Vieira being singled out for widespread praise.

Not only that, but, amid the love-in across social media, the Portuguese midfielder has drawn comparisons to another left-footed creator to have lit up the Emirates for a number of years in the not-so-distant past.
