Everton interested in £14million Batshuayi after Valencia nightmare

Could Everton secure a bargain?

Marco Silva and Everton are reportedly interested in signing £14million rated Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi after his Valencia loan was cut short.

The Belgian has had a torrid time during the current season.

The Chelsea man had an impressive loan at Borussia Dortmund midway through last season, scoring 7 goals in 10 games.

However, Dortmund decided against paying what Chelsea wanted for him and that left the player searching for another loan move.

He then chose Valencia as his club current for this season, a side who would test his ability and allow him to continue competing at the highest level.

Though, it was a stark contrast to his Dortmund days.

The player has only scored two goals in the current campaign and it was announced on Thursday that his loan had been cut short and he would head back to London.

Now, several clubs are fighting to sign him and Everton are one of them.

Is Batshuayi worth paying £14million for?

That is according to several outlets on Thursday.

All of the Mail, Mirror and the Telegraph have reported that Everton are interested in a deal.

The Mirror does claim the player is rated at £14million which could actually end up being a steal considering his performances in the Bundesliga.

The Toffees are also in need of a striker with all of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Cenk Tosun and Oumar Niasse not quite cutting it.

Richarlison has been used up front at several times this season due to that lack of quality options.

Everton are not the only ones interested in Batshuayi though.

The Mirror’s report does also cite Fulham, Crystal Palace and Batshuayi’s former club Marseille as potential suitors.

Despite his poor loan spell, the Belgian will have plenty of clubs to choose from this month.

Safe to say, he will be hoping to finally find a permanent home.
