Everton eyeing audacious loan swoop for Chelsea attacker

Everton have set their sights on the January signing of a member of the attacking setup at Premier League rivals Chelsea, according to reports.

The Blues star in question? Hakim Ziyech.

Wide-man Ziyech, of course, has endured another hit-and-miss campaign to date, confined largely to an impact substitute’s role en route to just a quartet of league starts.

In turn, murmurs have begun to mount once more of late that, should an offer deemed sufficient be forthcoming, the Moroccan’s exit could be sanctioned ahead of the 2nd half of the term.

This comes with not one, but two new wide options having been added to Graham Potter’s squad this winter, in the form of Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke.

And the aforementioned Everton, it is understood, are ready to move to take advantage of this situation, courtesy of a play for Ziyech’s signature.

As per a report from Sami Mokbel of the Daily Mail, the Toffees are one of a number of clubs expressing an interest in bringing Chelsea’s out-of-favour creator in this month.

Amid what has proven a nightmare season to date, the under-fire hierarchy at Goodison Park have identified Ziyech as a potentially game-changing addition.

Serious consideration, in turn, is being given to a loan proposal for the former Ajax standout.
