Manchester City kicked off vs Wolves knowing a win would take them to within two points of Arsenal.

The Gunners do have two games in hand, but one of those comes against an in-form Manchester United later today, so a win vs Wolves was vital for City.

And they are currently well on their way to picking up a big three points at the Etihad.

Man City dominated from the get-go but struggled to carve out any clear-cut chances in the opening half-hour.

However, Erling Haaland headed in from a Kevin De Bruyne ball after 39 minutes.

He then scored from the spot four minutes after the restart before bagging his hat-trick 55 minutes in.

Now, after scoring his 4th of the campaign, Opta have revealed that Erling Haaland has scored his fourth Premier League hat-trick in just his 19th appearance, breaking Ruud van Nistelrooy’s record of four hat-tricks in 65 league games.
