Erling Haaland passes medical ahead of Manchester City move

Erling Haaland looks to have taken one step closer to officially becoming a Manchester City player.

The Borussia Dortmund striker has been heavily linked with a switch to the Etihad over the last several weeks, with it reported on Monday that the deal is done and confirmation is expected this week:

And now, a fresh update on Haaland to City has emerged from the Belgian press, with it reported that Haaland has passed his Manchester City medial in Brussels:

No further details are given as to exactly when Haaland will be announced as a Manchester City, but a deal does seem to be very close to completion.

Haaland’s Dortmund stint

Should Haaland end up signing for Manchester City, which now seems very likley, the Sky Blues would no doubt go on to dominate most teams they face – including those sides they struggled to find that crucial goal against, such as Real Madrid in the Champions League when, despite scoring six over two legs, Man City missed countless chances.

The 21-year-old is arguably already one of the top three centre-forwards in world football right now – along with Harry Kane and Robert Lewandowski – and has a sensational goal return for BVB.

In 88 outings across all competitions for the German side, Haaland has scored 85 and assisted 23. He has also netted 15 in 17 for Norway.
