Denmark boss heaps praise on Manchester United’s Christian Eriksen

Denmark manager Kasper Hjulmand has heaped praise on Manchester United midfielder, Christian Eriksen

After signing on a free transfer, it was assumed that Eriksen would take up something of a squad role for the Red Devils.

However, in part due to Manchester United not signing Frenkie de Jong, Eriksen has started every game of the campaign so far.

Eriksen was especially impressive as Manchester United beat Arsenal 3-1. The former Tottenham man got the assist for the third goal and his passing ability was also key to the previous two goals from United.

His good form continued into the international break as well, scoring Denmark’s only goal in a 1-0 loss to Croatia and playing a key role in their 2-0 win over France on Sunday.

Now, Denmark manager Kasper Hjulmand has been full of praise for Christian Eriksen: “Christian’s age does not matter. I am convinced that Christian has the best football years of his career ahead of him.”

“He’s [Eriksen] so clear about everything he does on a football field. That man can’t be stressed on a football pitch. He’s so calm, so smart and plays with such great energy. It really is a pleasure to experience.

“He [Eriksen] shows what he is – a world-class player. He not only has the x-factor, he also delivers great running work and is involved in all phases. No one can doubt that he’s an incredibly important player.”

Denmark are not in action until November 22nd when they kick off their World Cup campaign vs Tunisia.

Manchester United, meanwhile, have a derby clash with Manchester City this coming Sunday.
