West Ham United head coach David Moyes has, on Saturday, provided an update on the future of star midfielder Declan Rice.
The name of England international Rice, of course, took its place back centre stage in the headlines last month.
This came amid widespread confirmation that the 24-year-old has been placed at the very top of the summer wishlist of Premier League-table toppers Arsenal, joining fellow London giants Chelsea in the hunt for Rice’s signature.
Speaking on the back of his side’s latest outing this evening, it therefore came as little surprise when the subject of his midfield talisman’s future was put to boss David Moyes once more.
Rice enjoyed a brilliant individual display against Newcastle, patrolling proceedings from the middle of the park en route to a credible share of the spoils at St. James’ Park.

And his manager is of the belief that it is precisely these kind of performances which mean that Arsenal, Chelsea, or whichever other club ultimately land the midfielder will be required to fork out a record transfer fee:
“He showed so many things.
“Undoubtedly he’s going to be a top player and undoubtedly he’ll be a British transfer record and more whenever he leaves West Ham.”
