FC Barcelona legend Dani Alves has sent a message to Trent Alexander-Arnold after Liverpool’s FA Cup triumph on Saturday.

Liverpool beat Chelsea on penalties for the second time this term to clinch their second trophy on the road to a potential quadruple.

Following the game, Alexander-Arnold posted a photo of himself and the trophy to Instagram, with Dani Alves, in turn, having taken to the comments section of the post to say: “Congratulations ma bud. Top level.”

This is not the first time that Alves, one of the best right-backs in the world during his heyday, has acknowledged TAA, having had the following to say regarding the Englishman back in March.

"I admire Trent Alexander-Arnold very much," the veteran defender told FourFourTwo. "He’s a fantastic footballer – this guy has got world-class skills."

Mane & Jurgen Klopp on penalty miss

Elsewhere, Sadio Mane has spoken out on his penalty miss on Saturday:

"I think all the credit to Alisson, because myself, I missed the penalty but who cares. The most important thing is to win the cup and we did it," Mane explained as quoted by the Metro.

"Alisson, all the credit for him. I am happy for him and we are all happy and proud."

Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp has taken partial responsibility for Mane's failure to score from the spot in the shootout:

"Sadio’s penalty is for sure at least 50 per cent my responsibility because you have to let the boys do what they think they do, but with him I said, ‘He knows you exactly, the goalie, so do the other way around'," the German revealed.

"How very often in my life, I realised it’s better to shut up! But we still made it and honestly, it means the world to us.”
