Cristiano Ronaldo has been named as the Manchester United Player of the Month for the month of March.

Ronaldo would fend off competition from Jadon Sancho and Fred to pick up the award.

To earn the award Ronaldo only played two matches during the month of March. The first would see Ronaldo score a hat-trick as United edged out Spurs in a huge 3-2 win.

Following that game, Ronaldo played 90 minutes and failed to score or assist as Manchester United lost 1-0 vs Atletico Madrid in the second of two Champions League Round of 16 ties.

Not exactly a star-studded month, but United did little of note this month other than beat Spurs, so it is easy to see why CR7 picked up the award.

Manchester United vs Leicester City

Manchester United’s next outing will see them face off with Leicester City on April 2nd.

However, ahead of next weekend’s action, Man United are sat 6th in the Premier League, four points behind 4th-place Arsenal who have a game in hand on Ralf Rangnick’s side.

Leicester, meanwhile, are sat 10th in the PL having won three of their last five league games, and are expected to test a very inconsistent United.
