The first Clasico clash in the final of the Copa del Rey in over a decade remains a possibility after Barcelona and Real Madrid were kept apart in today’s last-four draw.
Barcelona will meet Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid in the semi-finals while Real Madrid will take on Real Sociedad.
The first legs will be played between February 25 and February 27 with the returns, hosted by Atleti and Real Madrid, between April 1 and April 3.
The final is scheduled for April 26 in Seville.

Should the Clasico rivals get through, they would set up their first Copa final meeting since 2014, a match best remembered for Gareth Bale’s remarkable late winner in which he ran off the pitch in attempting to get past Marc Bartra before slotting under Barcelona goalkeeper Jose Manuel Pinto.
The sides still have one league meeting left this season, a game Barcelona hope will be staged in their revamped Camp Nou on May 10.
Hansi Flick’s side have dominated the previous two clashes this term. Barca won 4-0 at the Santiago Bernabéu in La Liga in October before an equally convincing 5-2 success in the Spanish Super Cup last month.
