An insight into the plans of Premier League giants Chelsea when it comes to the immediate future of goalkeeper Gabriel Slonina has been provided late on Thursday evening.
For those not aware, prodigious shot-stopper Slonina put pen to paper on terms with Chelsea last summer.
After beating out heavy competition, chiefly from Real Madrid, for his signature, the powers that be at Stamford Bridge, in turn, agreed to allow the 18-year-old to remain on loan with long-time club Chicago fire through the remainder of the calendar year.
Slonina, though, has since gone on to officially make the move to west London.

So, what next for one of world football’s most highly-regarded young goalkeepers?
Well, as alluded to above, an update on precisely that has arrived late on Thursday, courtesy of transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
This, however, will in fact not be the case.
Instead, it has been revealed that the decision-makers at Stamford Bridge have ‘no plans’ to farm their exciting young talent out on loan this month.
Instead, Slonina will remain in England’s capital, to continue his development under the watch of the senior and academy coaches alike.
