Everton & Chelsea’s Kurt Zouma
Everton fans have been hoping that Kurt Zouma will return to Goodison Park in 2019-20.
Zouma spent last season on loan with the Toffees from Chelsea.
Zouma formed a solid partnership with Michael Keane at the heart of Everton’s backline.
He played 36 times for the Toffees in all competitions.
After his loan stint came to an end, it was reported that Everton had opened negotiations with Chelsea over a permanent deal for Zouma.

Zouma is currently back at Chelsea for pre-season.
The Mirror have today circulated new quotes from the 24-year-old, which have seemingly put an end to Everton’s hopes of re-signing him.
Grateful for his time at Goodison Park, Zouma is now fully focused on the Blues. He said:
I enjoyed my time at Everton but I’m a Chelsea player and we’ll see what will happens in the future. I think it will be here at Chelsea.
This is a chance for me. I went out on loan last season but I’m a Chelsea player and I want to do well to get my chance and be here.
It was a very good season for me (at Everton). It was very good for my development. After my injury I was ready to play week-in week-out.
Will Zouma get into Chelsea’s XI?
Last season, Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz were the mainstays for Chelsea at centre-back.
Frank Lampard also has Cesar Azpilicueta and Andreas Christensen as additional options ahead of Zouma.
It’s worth noting that Zouma started Chelsea’s pre-season match against Kawasaki Frontale last Friday.
The Frenchman also came on as a second-half sub in matches against St Patrick’s Athletic and Bohemians earlier in the summer.
Zouma is under contract at Chelsea until 2023.
