Chelsea willing to listen to offers for up to 10 first-team players – Sky

A recent report in the English media has provided an insight into a host of players whom Chelsea are said to be willing to sell this summer.

Chelsea’s 2019/20

Frank Lampard’s first season as Chelsea manager has proven something of a mixed bag.

The Blues finished 4th in the Premier League to qualify for the Champions League – a feat many didn’t foresee the capital outfit achieving this term, with a transfer ban to deal with, and no Eden Hazard.

But whilst finishing 4th is a great achievement for Lampard in his first season as a manger in the Premier League, there is still clearly a lot of work to be done at Stamford Bridge, before the capital outfit can begin to challenge the likes of Manchester City and Liverpool.

The Blues’ main issue this season has very clearly been their backline.

Chelsea possessed the worst defensive record of the top 11 Premier League sides in 2019/20, and even conceded more than 15th-placed Brighton.

Chelsea clear-out

So, whilst signing the likes of Timo Werner and Hakim Ziyech will no doubt be great for Chelsea’s already solid attacking threat, Blues fans are probably wondering when the defensive reinforcements are set to arrive.

It’s claimed that Frank Lampard has admitted his side need to improve defensively, but that Chelsea would need to sell before they can buy.

And now, on Tuesday, Sky Sports are reporting that the Londoners are willing to listen to offers for up to 10 first-team players this summer.

The majority of the names on the list are unlikely to surprise Chelsea fans, with fringe stars Emerson, Victor Moses, Tiemoue Bakayoko, Danny Drinkwater and Michy Batshuayi mentioned.

The out of form Kepa, who Lampard once again benched for the FA Cup final last week, is also unsurprisingly named as a player whom Chelsea are willing to part with.

The list is rounded out, though, by four players who have played significant roles at Stamford Bridge this season, with it claimed that the capital outfit are willing to listen to offers for all of Jorginho, Antonio Rudiger, Kurt Zouma and Andreas Christensen.

One defender to have been touted as a potential arrival at Chelsea of late, meanwhile, is left-back Sergio Reguilon. Read more about that here.
