Chelsea star posts cryptic social media message

A Chelsea player has posted an interesting social media message recently.

The man in question is centre-back, Wesley Fofana.

Last month, the 22-year-old defender learned that he ruptured his anterior cruciate ligament – an injury which had required surgery and will likely keep him out of action for the entire season.

This is not the first time the young stopper has seen his career halted by injury.

In 2021, Fofana broke his leg in a pre-season friendly against Villarreal and was then ruled out for over seven months.

He returned to action in March 2022 before sealing an £80 million transfer from Leicester City to Chelsea.

But this was followed by Fofana being ruled out for two months in October before missing a further 55 days after suffering a recurring issue.

A month or so later, Fofana has finally reverted his Instagram account to ‘public’ and changed his profile picture before breaking his silence with a cryptic update on his story, posting a tools and leg emoji in front of a black background.
