Chelsea ready to offer 15 million euros for wantaway Barcelona man as left-back update surfaces

Dembele told to leave Barcelona
Ousmane Dembele’s time in Barcelona is over.
With six months left on his contract, it appears that he has told the Camp Nou hierarchy that he has no intention of renewing his current deal.

Barcelona chief Mateu Alemany revealed that the Frenchman is set to be moved on before the end of the January window, saying:
“It’s clear that Dembélé does NOT want to continue with Barcelona. He doesn’t want to be part of our project”.
“We told Dembélé he has to leave immediately. We expect Ousmane to be sold before Jan 31”.

Where could he go?
Chelsea ready to pounce?
Well, as per journalist Pedro Almeida, Chelsea are ready to table a 15 million euro bid for his services.

Given his contract situation and injury record, it is hard to see Barcelona being able to demand much more for a player that will be available for free in June, while his addition would add another dimension to Chelsea’s attack.
Left-back update
Meanwhile, there has been an update on Chelsea’s hunt for a left-back, and it is not positive.
As per the reliable Nizaar Kinsella of Goal.com, Lyon are still refusing to allow Emerson to cut his loan to the French side short and return to Chelsea, unless they receive significant compensation, which Chelsea are not willing to pay.
There’s been no progress on bringing Emerson back from his loan.
Lyon want him to stay unless they get a very large compensation offer.

Therefore, the Blues are still scouring the left-back market for a possible loan move, but none have been identified as of yet.
