Former Chelsea star John Terry has been speaking about Liverpool new boy, Luis Diaz.
Diaz signed for the Reds from FC Porto during the January transfer window, and has since hit the ground running on Merseyside.
The Colombian has impressed in a number of outings for Liverpool to date, including on Saturday as Jurgen Klopp and co. picked up a huge 1-0 win over West Ham.
Towards the end of that tie, in which Diaz completed 90 minutes, Chelsea legend John Terry took to social media to offer his verdict on the wide-man, simply tweeting: “Diaz is a player”.
Luis Diaz was of interest to Tottenham & Roma
Elsewhere, Luis Diaz’s father has been speaking about his son’s transfer to Liverpool.
Diaz senior claims that there were many teams interested in his son's signature, including Tottenham and Roma, but the player’s dream was to join Liverpool due to their standing as an 'elite team':
"There were many suitors who wanted Luis' services, but he had the dream of reaching Liverpool. Because Liverpool are an elite team," Diaz Sr told BluRadio's Blog Deportivo.
"After the first game, he told me that it was a team that works hard, complete, in which he will feel comfortable and will have the chance to play with high-performance players.
"'Tottenham was one. Roma was also left behind in the process. They hesitated a lot and let themselves be caught by Liverpool. Liverpool were faster than them, they needed him and they took him away."
Liverpool and potentially Diaz’s next outing comes against Inter Milan in the Champions League on Tuesday night.
