Chelsea fans single out one player for criticism during Leeds clash

Leeds headed into the game having seen off Wolves and drawn with Southampton so far this term.

Chelsea, meanwhile, beat Everton 1-0 and were held to a 2-2 draw by Tottenham last weekend due to some questionable officiating, to say the least.

On Sunday, though, it was Leeds United who, for the most part, looked the better side in the opening exchanges.

Jesse Marsch’s side pressed well and had the best chance of the match 21 minutes in when Rodrigo fired wide.

Raheem Sterling did have the ball in the net 15 minutes in, but it was rightly ruled out for offside.

Elsewhere, Conor Gallagher was handed his first start of the season in place of the injured N’Golo Kante.

However, Gallagher, who impressed on loan at Crystal Palace last season, struggled to deal with the Leeds press and gave the ball away several times.
