Supporters of Premier League giants Chelsea have flooded to social media on Thursday, to sing the praises of an alleged transfer target on the part of the powers that be at Stamford Bridge.
The player in question? Josko Gvardiol.
For those not aware, stopper Gvardiol has long been highlighted in the media as a potential long-term reinforcement to the central defensive ranks at Stamford Bridge.
Amid a string of standout performances in Germany with RB Leipzig, the 20-year-old has been widely labelled as a legitimate star in the making, boasting all of the necessary qualities to make it to the very top of the European game.
Chelsea, on the back of the exits of both Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen, and with Thiago Silva and Cesar Azpilicueta getting on in years, have, according to widespread sources, therefore set their sights firmly on Gvardiol’s signature.
And, if the latest social media highlights on Thursday evening are anything to go by, then their side’s chase of the young defender appears to be fully backed by the Blues’ fanbase.
