Celtic fans rejoice as 2nd key performer pens new deal

Supporters of Scottish giants Celtic have taken to social media in numbers on Thursday, to confirm their delight with a star member of the club’s attacking ranks putting pen to paper on fresh terms.

The player in question? Daizen Maeda.

The subject of contract renewals has taken its place front and centre in the headlines on the green half of the Glasgow divide across the week to date.

This comes, first, after Kyogo Furuhashi shut down any and all speculation surrounding his plans for next season by way of a new four-year contract at Parkhead:

And now, just days later, the Japanese international has been followed in doing so by aforementioned compatriot Daizen Maeda.

As per a statement across Celtic’s official website and social media platforms:

β€˜Hot on the heels of the news that Kyogo has signed a new deal with the club, his fellow countryman, Daizen Maeda has also signed a new Celtic contract until June 2027.’

And, safe to say, the Hoops faithful are not only happy, but absolutely overjoyed with the news:
