Brentford head coach Thomas Frank has, on Friday, named the player whom he feels has proven the difference-maker in turning Arsenal into legitimate challengers for the Premier League title.
Mikel Arteta’s side, of course, are currently in the midst of what has proven a remarkable campaign.
After missing out on Champions League football once more last time out, the Gunners have since kicked on to table-topping status this time round, leading champions Manchester City by five points, whilst in possession of a game in hand.
So, what has changed on the red half of north London?
Well, as alluded to above, one individual of the opinion that a fresh addition to Arsenal’s ranks has proven nothing short of a game-changer comes in the form of Thomas Frank.
Speaking ahead of an impending showdown with Arteta and co. this weekend, Brentford’s boss was full of praise his side’s capital rivals, revealing his admiration for the project currently being overseen by his opposite number in the Emirates dugout.
“I think it’s big credit to Arsenal,” the Dane began. “I think maybe it was Saliba who came back this summer [from his loan with Marseille].
“He was maybe the missing link. With Zinchenko and Jesus, I think that was three important players.”
