Promoted outfit Bournemouth has enjoyed a credible return to Premier League action in 2022-23 but is in the midst of a two-match winless run after being blanked by both Southampton and West Ham United.
Before their temporary dip recently, the Cherries were on a four-match undefeated run (1-3-0) that included very credible results against Newcastle and Brentford, but the overall problems that continue to hound manager Gary O’Neil come by way of a lack of goals (averaging less than a goal per match at the time of writing) while also being the not-so-proud owners of the worst defensive record in England’s top division.

Still, despite back-to-back losses, there is cause for optimism at Vitality Stadium but the club could be up against it when Antonio Conte’s Tottenham come to town.
Having taken all three points off Spurs just once in their last six meetings (1-1-4), Bournemouth will need everything in their locker and more if they are to stop Conte’s dynamic duo of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min.

First-choice shot-stopper Neto is guaranteed to be out for the foreseeable future after Bournemouth boss Gary O’Neil confirmed his absence; “It won’t be short term and it’ll be fairly long term, it won’t be a week or two. Neto bought a calmness and helped us steady the ship when we had some tough results, but as I said then, I’m delighted to have them both and I have full faith in Mark Travers.”
David Brooks and Lloyd Kelly also remain fit and unavailable for the weekend, with no change or update surrounding either player.
