Barcelona handed triple boost ahead of Eintracht Frankfurt second leg


Barcelona have been handed a boost on the personnel front as three key players look set for a swift return to action after missing out on La Blaugrana’s last outing vs Levante in La Liga.

Barcelona must now turn their attention towards Europe. The Catalonian powerhouse are set to face off with Eintracht Frankfurt in the second of two Europa league quarter-final games this coming Thursday.

The first clash, which took place in Germany, saw the sides play out a 1-1 draw.

However, Barca were able to hit back 66 minutes in to salvage a draw, though they are likely disappointed they did not get the win after Frankfurt were reduced to 10 men with 12 minutes of normal time to play.

So, as away goals no longer count in European competitions, Barcelona do have a small advantage heading into the second leg at the Camp Nou.

Key Barcelona trio back in training

No, as mentioned above, Barcelona have been handed some great news on the personnel front.

All of Gerrard Pique, Sergino Dest and Memphis Depay missed Barca’s win over Levante, with the latter two of that trio also out vs Frankfurt last week.

However, it is now being reported that all of Depay, Pique and Dest trained with the group on Wednesday:
