Barcelona confirm activation of 4th economic lever

FC Barcelona have activated their 4th economic lever on Friday, the club have confirmed.

Barcelona have already activated three economic levers so far this summer in a bid to improve their squad and also register their new signings.

However, as of Thursday, Barcelona were struggling to register their new players ahead of their season opener on Saturday.

Now though, Barcelona have since pocketed €100m:

“FC Barcelona announces the sale of 24.5% of Barça Studios to the company Orpheus Media, managed by Mr Jaume Roures, an audiovisual producer with extensive experience in the creation of audiovisual and digital content, for an amount of 100 million euros,” a club statement said.

“This agreement complements what was already signed on July 29 with Socios.com and will serve to accelerate the growth of the Club’s digital strategy, NFT and Web.3.

“Thesale has been carried out in accordance with the authorization of the General Assembly of Members of FC Barcelona held on October 23.

“With these investments, the strategic partners of Barça Studios demonstrate their confidence in the value of the project and the future of digital content in the world of sport.”

Fabrizio Romano has confirmed this is how Barcelona plan to register their new signings and then proceed with other transfers.

Marcos Alonso of Chelsea looks set to join La Blaugrana soon, whilst Bernardo Silva is also of interest.
