Aston Villa fans send collective Steven Gerrard message to board after Fulham defeat
The Villans suffered another alarming defeat this evening
The Aston Villa faithful have flooded to social media on Thursday, to make their feelings regarding the position of manager Steven Gerrard crystal clear.
The Claret and Blue, of course, were back in action a short time ago.
Amid a nightmare season to date, Gerrard and co. made the trip to promoted Fulham, for a Premier League clash.
Villa headed into proceedings desperate for all three points, in the knowledge that anything but would see them remain level with Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English top-flight’s relegation zone.
When all was said and done, though, the evening’s visitors, once more, came up short.
A dismal showing across the 90 minutes at Craven Cottage ultimately culminated in Villa being put to the sword by three goals to nil.

The individual in question? Steven Gerrard.
English tactician Gerrard has long had his credentials called into question by large sections of the Villans faithful, of the opinion that the club’s boss does not make adequate use of the unquestionable talent at his disposal.
And tonight’s display appears to have proven the final straw, even with those to have continued to back the ex-Rangers headmaster of late.
Taking to Twitter in their absolute droves, the Villa faithful have called for Gerrard to be sacked with immediate effect, with just some of the highlights showcased below:
Please save our club. Sack him now.

the fans will always support these players because we’ve seen them play at a higher level than this
the manager has tanked it all with no identity. no plan. no spirit.
A shame.

This will show us how much we are valued as fans by the club. We have made it perfectly clear our feelings on the manager. Act now @AVFCOfficial and appoint a proven manager. We have wasted time and talent at this club for far too long!
