As Barcelona trio depart national camps, yet another Blaugrana injury concern revealed

The Catalans’ woes have continued to mount on Friday

The alarming personnel situation quickly developing at Spanish giants Barcelona has taken another turn for the worse on Friday.

For those not aware, all associated with Barca have endured something of a nightmare last 24 hours.

This comes after no fewer than four members of Xavi Hernandez’s first-team ranks set pulses racing at the Camp Nou, owing to respective fitness problems picked up whilst on international duty.

Three such players – in the form of Jules Kounde, Frenkie de Jong and Memphis Depay – have since in turn been forced into premature returns to base in Catalunya.

And yet, remarkably, Barcelona’s mounting fitness issues have not ended there.

Instead, another key member of Xavi’s backline has too sparked fears of an incoming spell on the sidelines.

Stopper Araujo was afforded his latest start on Friday night, as Uruguay made the trip to The NV Arena, for a friendly meeting with Iran.

With just five minutes on the clock, though, the 23-year-old limped out of the action with what appeared to be a muscular concern.

Araujo, in turn, looks set for an imminent round of medical tests, the results of which will provide further insight into the extent of his latest injury.
