Premier League giants Arsenal have taken to social media on Sunday evening, to unveil the player voted as Man of the Match in the club’s meeting with Tottenham.

Mikel Arteta’s troops, of course, were back in action a little over 24 hours ago.

In their return to action on the back of what felt a lengthy international break, the Gunners welcomed fierce rivals Spurs to the Emirates, aware that a fresh North London Derby triumph would guide them a full four points clear at the Premier League’s summit.

And, when all was said and done, march on to a deserved three points is precisely what the afternoon’s hosts managed.

After Harry Kane’s first-half penalty cancelled out Thomas Partey’s early opener, strikes on the part of both Gabriel Jesus and Granit Xhaka ensured that it was Arsenal who emerged on the right side of a 3-1 scoreline.

And now, as alluded to above, one member of the Gunners’ triumphant ranks has seen his efforts recognised by the club’s fanbase.

As per a statement across their official social media platforms and website, Ghanaian international Partey, who shone throughout the 90 minutes on Saturday, has beaten out competition from midfield partner Granit Xhaka and defensive stalwart William Saliba to be voted Arsenal’s North London Derby Man of the Match:
