Mudryk a priority for the Gunners

Arsenal’s January seems to be set to revolve around young attacker Mykhalo Mudryk, who has been linked to the Gunners since the dying days of the summer transfer window.

As per the Athletic, he is Mikel Arteta’s no.1 target this winter, and there is confidence that they can convince Shakhtar Donetsk to part ways with their young gem for a cut-price fee, with personal terms not set to be a problem.

This is despite claims by Donetsk director Dario Srna that Mudryk will cost in excess of £100m should he leave in January.

“Who wants to sign Mudryk has to pay a big amount of money — otherwise our president will not sell him,”

“Jack Grealish was sold for more than 100m and Mudryk’s level is not lower.”

The latest on former graduate Yunus Musah

His performances both for Valencia and in the heart of the US midfield have caught the eye of several top clubs, with the Gunners and Liverpool both amongst those thought to be considering a move.

And now, it has emerged that he will prove a cost-effective addition, with Valencia’s financial issues meaning that they will reportedly listen to offers over £20m this January.

Released in 2019, could a return to north London be on the cards for the USMNT young star?

Pair of Atletico Madrid targets weighed up

Finally, Arsenal have been among those linked with a pair of Atletico Madrid attackers this winter. Diego Simeone’s side need to sell players for financial reasons after dropping out of the Champions League at the group stage, and both Joao Felix and Matheus Cunha are among those that have been made available for departure.

Cunha has been strongly linked with a move to Wolverhampton Wanderers, but the Gunners are reported to also hold an interest and could beat the midlands side to his signature, while some inside the Arsenal setup view Felix as the perfect man to solve their attacking issues, with his versatility seen as incredibly useful in the wake of Gabriel Jesus’ injury.
