Arsenal team news vs Zurich

Bukayo Saka

Bukayo Saka was forced off inside the first 30 minutes of Arsenal’s 5-0 win over Nottingham Forest this past weekend.

Speaking after the match, Arteta seemed to suggest it was more of knock from all the fouls than anything too serious.

Mikel Arteta is expected to give an update on the winger later today.

Emile Smith Rowe

Emile Smith Rowe has been out of action since picking up a groin issue during his warm-down after the 3-1 defeat to Manchester United on September 4 at Old Trafford.

Speaking on September 30, Arteta said: “It is very difficult to give a timeline. It depends on the first process, how the bones heal, how was his first reaction, his improvement and how he’s adapting. We need to go step by step.”

It is unlikely Smith Rowe will return to action for the Gunners this year

Oleksandr Zinchenko

Zinchenko has played just six games for Arsenal in all competitions this season due to a calf problem.

The left-back was expected back in training this week ahead of the weekend’s clash with Chelsea.

Mohamed Elneny

Elneny injured his hamstring in the win against Fulham on August 27. The Egypt international completed the game, but the extent of the problem became clear soon after.

When offering an update on Elney’s recovery timetable on September 2, Arteta said: “With Mo, we’re talking months.”

It is currently unclear how long Elneny will be sidelined, but suggestions are that he might not be available until January at the earliest.
