Arsenal star limps out of Juventus clash in tears

Premier League giants Arsenal have been dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front late on Saturday evening.

For those not aware, Mikel Arteta’s troops are currently locked in action.

Amid ongoing preparations for the return of England’s top-flight on Boxing Day, the Gunners have welcomed Italian giants Juventus to the Emirates, for a high-profile friendly clash.

Early in the 2nd-half of play, it is the latter who lead by a goal to nil, after the returning Granit Xhaka put through his own net against the run of play on the stroke of the interval.

The concerns facing Arsenal amid the ongoing action in north London, though, stem far beyond just the current scoreline.

In addition, the capital outfit, already sans the services of the likes of Gabriel Jesus, Oleksandr Zinchenko and Takehiro Tomiyasu, were dealt a fresh blow on the personnel front.

The latest Gunners star to have picked up a fitness issue? Reiss Nelson.

Owing to the absences of both Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli, wide-man Nelson was afforded the opportunity to impress against Juventus, courtesy of a starting berth on the left wing.

With just 20 minutes on the clock, though, disaster struck, as the London native pulled up with what appeared to be a hamstring complaint.

Nelson, from here, was left with no choice but to limp off, seemingly in tears as he did so.
