Premier League table-toppers Arsenal are set to play host to one of European football’s heavyweights next month, it has been revealed.
The outfit in question? Juventus.
Mikel Arteta’s troops, of course, have enjoyed a season to remember thus far.
Owing to a stellar record of 12 wins from 14, the Gunners are currently sitting pretty atop the English top-flight, five points clear of closest challengers Manchester City.
The World Cup break, as a result, could not have come at a more inopportune time for Arsenal.
Evidently, though, Mikel Arteta and co. are already putting plans in place to ensure that their return to competitive action next month comes with at least some of the club’s stars boasting match fitness.
The clash is expected to play out at the Emirates on December 17th, just nine days out from Arsenal’s return to Premier League action against West Ham.
Elsewhere in December, the Gunners are also primed to face off with Juventus’ domestic rivals AC Milan, as well as French heavyweights Olympique Lyonnais.
