Jurrien Timber suffered an ACL injury on his Premier League debut and faces a race against time to feature again this season.
Ghanaβs FA revealed that Thomas Partey had picked up an injury and would be out for a few weeks ahead of the Gunnersβ clash with Manchester United on Sunday.
Mikel Arteta spoke after the United game to confirm that Partey picked up the issue in training and will be back towards the end of next month. This means he will likely miss Champions League fixtures against PSV and Lens plus Premier League games against Tottenham, Everton and Manchester City.
Mohamed Elneny suffered a serious knee injury last season but he has been back in training for several months now.
This led to speculation over the midfielderβs future but with Thomas Partey out, Mikel Arteta may need to call upon the Egyptian to return to the pitch for the first time since last season.
Mikel Arteta has not commented on Elnenyβs absence.
