Arsenal handed defensive personnel boost ahead of Burnley

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta looks set to have his defensive options boosted by the return of Calum Chambers this weekend.
The Gunners will of course mark their return to action tomorrow afternoon, eyeing a return to winning ways on the back of four successive outings without as much.
A showdown with Sean Dyche’s Burnley awaits, with Arsenal no doubt wary of the fact that, though the Clarets have looked far from their best this season, they are now very much fighting for their Premier League lives.
In turn, all on the red half of north London will no doubt be pleased to hear of the return to fitness of the aforementioned Calum Chambers.
Versatile stopper Chambers was forced to sit out Arsenal’s Carabao Cup defeat at the hands of Liverpool in midweek, owing to a neck injury picked up in training.
As showcased below, though, the 27-year-old has now returned to the first-team fold at London Colney, and could well even slot in at right-back on Sunday, after Takehiro Tomiyasu’s lack of match fitness was laid bare for all to see at the Emirates on Thursday.

John-Jules on the way out
Shifting attentions away from the pitch and towards the transfer market, yet another member of the Arsenal ranks looks set to seal a January departure over the coming days.
To this point, all of Sead Kolasinac, Pablo Mari, Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Folarin Balogun, the latter trio on loan, have been afforded exits over the course of the winter window.
And, as per a report from the Yorkshire Examiner, this tally will soon be added to further, with youngster Tyreece John-Jules on the verge of linking up with Sheffield Wednesday on loan for the remainder of the campaign.
