Arsenal fans turn on Arsene Wenger over exclusion of player v Liverpool

Pessimistic

Arsenal fans have turned on Arsene Wenger this evening ahead of their clash with Liverpool due to one mistake in his starting lineup.

There was much made about the possibility of a weakened defence for the Gunners ahead of the game, something which had Arsenal fans terrified.

Liverpool are known for their attacking quartet this season and that was never going to go down well with Arsenal’s defence.

Now, Arsenal fans are even more bemused about the exclusion of one player – Sead Kolasinac.

The Bosnian signed from Schalke on a free transfer in the summer transfer window and impressed during his first couple of months at the club.

The player recently took part in the Europa League group stage campaign and not done so bad, but Arsene Wenger still preferred Ainsley Maitland-Niles and Nacho Monreal on the left side of the defence.

Monreal is set to start on the left side of central defence while Maitland-Niles has been awarded with a Premier League start.

Though, that didn’t exactly go down with the majority of Arsenal fans who took to Twitter to voice their displeasure.

Henderson returns

While Arsenal and Kolasinac is no doubt the talk of the town prior to the clash with Liverpool, so is Jordan Henderson.

The Liverpool captain returns to the side this evening and while some would see that as a positive, others would not.

With Adam Lallana returning to the side last week, the Merseysiders could have benefitted from his attacking nouse in the centre.

Not only that, Gini Wijnaldum drops to the bench which does seem to indicate that Liverpool will look to hold the ball in midfield.

Whether Liverpool fans will be happy with that is yet to be seen, but it all depends on whether it pays off.
