Arsenal fans send Man City message to FA during Tottenham clash

Supporters of Premier League table-toppers Arsenal have taken to social media in numbers on Sunday evening, to send a message to the English Football Association.

This comes owing to the behaviour of a number of star performers at title rivals Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola’s City, of course, marked their return to action a short time ago.

After watching Arsenal slip to a shock defeat at the hands of relegation-battling Everton, the Sky Blues made the trip to north London, desperate for all three points in a showdown with Tottenham Hotspur.

When all was said and done on a concerning day in the capital for City, however, once more, they failed to step up to the plate when it mattered most.

This came as Spurs ultimately emerged on the right side of a 1-0 scoreline, owing to talisman Harry Kane’s finish inside the opening quarter of an hour:

Evidently, though, those of an Arsenal persuasion do not feel as though their eventual defeat served as sufficient punishment for their stumbling rivals on Sunday.

Instead, the Gunners faithful have called for Manchester City to be slapped with a fine on the part of the FA.

Mikel Arteta’s men were of course twice punished by the powers that be overseeing the English game over the course of the last couple of months, for ‘failing to control’ their players in exchanges with officials.

In turn, after several members of Pep Guardiola’s squad surrounded referee Andy Madley in an aggressive manner during the 2nd-half this evening, calls have quickly mounted for the Premier League champions to be hit with a similar punishment:
