Ceballos’ time in Madrid
After spending all of his senior and youth career with Real Betis, Dani Ceballos made the switch to Real Madrid in the summer of 2017.
Madrid are believed to have paid somewhere around £14.8m for the Spaniard.
Prior to joining Los Blancos, Ceballos was a standout star for Betis, featuring 105 times for their first-team.
However, since making his big switch to Madrid, Ceballos hasn’t really been able to hold down a regular starting place.
The 22-year-old has made 56 appearances across all competitions, scoring five and assisting two.
Ceballos played in 23 La Liga games during the 2018/19 campaign. However, he completed 90 minutes just five times in those games.
Tottenham vs Arsenal
Despite this, Ceballos looks to be attracting the attention of some of England’s biggest clubs.
After two windows of not spending, Tottenham look to finally be improving their squad this summer.
Spurs have already completed the signings of Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon and Jack Clarke from Leeds United.
However, Spurs don’t look to be stopping there, as they have also been rumoured to be interested in Ceballos.
Now, though, on Thursday the 11th of July, Sky Sports News are reporting that Arsenal are interested in Ceballos.
The report from Sky claims that the Gunners are looking to loan the Madrid midfielder.
This is a route that Ceballos is said to prefer, as he still believes that he can make an impact for Real Madrid down the line.
