Antonio Conte & Tottenham agree mutual stance over a new contract

Antonio Conte and Tottenham’s time together could be coming to an end...

Antonio Conte returns to the dugout at N17 on Wednesday after three weeks away in Italy recuperating from gallbladder surgery.

However, following a string of bad results and the majority of performances across the season, this could be one of his last.

The Italian coach’s deal expires at the end of the season and there is no sign of a renewal being on the cards.

Tottenham prepare Conte replacement

The Athletic are reporting this morning that the Antonio Conte era at Tottenham is coming to an end

Contract talks are unlikely to be revived as neither party now wants a new deal.

Spurs tried to extend his deal during the World Cup but failed to find an agreement.

Meanwhile, the general feeling amongst the players is that Conte will leave at the end of the season.

Some have grown tired of his intensity, training sessions and approach to the game.

Tottenham want to make sure that they are in control of the situation involving Conte’s future.

Succession planning will not simply commence once the season is over and when the Italian’s deal expires.
