Aaron Ramsdale comments show Arsenal can be tittle contenders

Arsenal faced off with Leeds United in a Premier League clash on Sunday.

The Gunners were not close to their best on the day but still came away with a 1-0 win.

That result, combined with Manchester City’s loss to Liverpool, means Arsenal are now four points clear atop of the Premier League.

And whilst any sort of title challenge from the north Londoner seemed far-fetched just a few months ago, they are now proving they may have what it takes to go head-to-head with City.

A mark of any good title challenger/winner is that they are able to win even when they are not at their best.

And this is exactly what Arsenal did vs Leeds and what Aaron Ramsdale has been discussing:

“It’s the worst we’ve played and collectively we’ve managed to come away with three points and a clean sheet,” said the England keeper. “We’re a bit shocked at how bad we were on the ball, but collectively, from front to the back, we added another level in terms of defending and grinding out a result.

“We don’t want to do this every week. We want to be winning with nice football, but to know we can do that, it’s now in the back of our heads that we can do it and [to] do it at a place like Leeds, it gives us confidence.”
