Xabi Alonso must have had an uncomfortable three weeks after Chelsea went into the international break on the back of a 3-0 pasting at local rivals Brentford.
The Blues have not won in the Premier League in three games and Alonso could really do with a morale-boosting victory at home to Bournemouth.
The Cherries have yet to win and Marco Rose is another newcomer struggling to assert his influence.
Bournemouth are 17th after a tricky opening set of fixtures.
