Under 2.5 goals is 8/11.

Atlético Madrid to win and under 2.5 goals is 12/5.

Match preview

Atlético Madrid take a giant step towards the La Liga title.

On Sunday night, los Colchoneros faced newly-crowned champions of Spain Real Madrid in el Derbi Madrileño.

In a generally low-quality game at the Wanda Metropolitano, Yannick Ferreira Carrasco's penalty just before half time proved to be the only goal.

This was a vital victory for Diego Simeone's side, not just because it was their first win over Real since the 2018 UEFA Super Cup in Tallinn.

In the table, Atleti remain fourth but are now six points clear of Real Betis, so could wrap up Champions League qualification with victory in Elx.

With Atlético boasting a superior head-to-head over Betis, a victory in this one would rubber stamp a Champions League place.

Given that their last two games against Real Sociedad and Sevilla, this would be most welcome.

Elche meanwhile are also on the cusp of achieving their goal for the season: survival.

Francisco's side pulled clear of trouble by winning twice in just four days in April, beating Mallorca 3-0 followed by a surprise victory at Real Betis.

On Saturday, los Franjiverdes' three-game unbeaten run came to an end in calamitous style, going down 3-0 to Cádiz at Nuevo Mirandilla.

Ezequiel Ponce was sent off mid-way through the second period, before the hosts scored thrice in the final ten minutes.

Nevertheless, given that Elche have a better head-to-head compared to 18th-place Mallorca, just a point from their final three games will see them stay up.

Who will be celebrating at Estadio Manuel Martínez Valero?

Elche team news

Ezequiel Ponce's red card for lashing out at Luis Hernández just three minutes after coming on at the weekend means he is suspended for three matches.

So, Guido Carrillo, Pere Milla and Kike Pérez are likely to continue as Elche's attack.

Atlético Madrid team news

Thomas Lemar and João Félix are both out injured, but Diego Simeone still has plenty of attacking options.

Matheus Cunha and Ángel Correa led the line in Sunday night's derby with Antoine Griezmann and Luis Suárez left on the bench.

However, Griezmann is likely to return here, looking to add to his measly three goals in La Liga this season.

After another underwhelming display, Šime Vrsaljko could be displaced by Daniel Wass at right-back.

In the middle, fit again José María Giménez and Stefan Savić could keep their places, chosen of Mario Hermoso and Felipe.

Héctor Herrera, who's joining Houston Dynamo this summer, was on the bench at the weekend so may have played his last minutes for Atleti.
