Liverpool’s domination this season has not persuaded leading bookmaker William Hill to make Arne Slot’s side favourites to win the Premier League in 2025-26.
The Merseysiders wrapped up their record-equalling 20th English top-flight crown yesterday with a 5-1 demolition of Tottenham at Anfield.
Slot’s men have been the stand-out team all season and, by the end of the campaign, they will have spent 234 days at the top of the table.
And yet, William Hill make Liverpool second in the betting at 2/1 to claim the crown next season.

City ahead of Liverpool, according to bookie
Manchester City are 7/4 favourites despite a miserable season that even manager Pep Guardiola admits cannot be saved by winning the FA Cup.
Speaking after yesterday’s semi-final win over Nottingham Forest at Wembley, the Catalan said: “We are a thousand million points behind Liverpool. I said many times the season hasn’t been good because we define if the season is good or not with the Premier League.
“This season it could not happen, at the same time we tried to avoid the damage.”
City are currently fourth with four games remaining and embroiled in the battle to claim a place in next season’s Champions League.
Arsenal are third favourites with William Hill at 11/4.
William Hill spokesperson Lee Phelps said: “After Liverpool’s triumph in the Premier League, winning the title with a month to go, we have the Reds at 2/1 to go back-to-back next season.
“While no club came close to Arne Slot’s side this year, we favour Manchester City to reclaim the trophy, ahead of the defending champions at 7/4, in what would be their ninth Premier League title.
“With Arsenal looking likely second for the third season in a row, we have them 11/4 to go one better next season.”
