LIVE – Arsenal v Bournemouth: Commentary, updates, goals and stats
Arsenal host Bournemouth this lunchtime. Follow all the action with our live commentary...
After a difficult couple of games either side of the international break, Arsenal looked back to their obdurate best at Sporting CP in midweek.
The EFL Cup final defeat to Manchester City and the shock FA Cup exit at Championship side Southampton ended the Gunners’ hopes of a quadruple but a Champions League and Premier League double is still achievable.
Arsenal take on Sporting in the return next Wednesday with a 1-0 advantage from the first game in Lisbon but will first look to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League to 12 points with a win over Bournemouth.
Mikel Arteta’s side will have played two games more than second-placed City when they kick off at Chelsea on Sunday afternoon but it will be another game successfully ticked off for the Londoners.
Bournemouth have not been beaten in the league since January 3 – when they lost against Arsenal – but too many draws have hampered their progress.
